SOME PAST CLASSES AT RISING SUN YOGA:

Saturday, November 12th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
Another nice-weather fall day in Buffalo, and 5 familiess joining in of the cloth diaper scene : ) Welcome to the frugal, healthy and environmentally friendly fun. Carrie and her
daughter shared their favorite brands and styles, as they are an experienced cloth diapering family. Thank you, Carrie! 3 new moms and 1 new dad asked great questions about styles
and sizes. One mom is looking into cloth for her second child, now one month old. It is never too late to change.......a cloth diaper. We saw some Grovia hand me downs and class
today, with the cloth snap-ins and are holding 3 of Ti's gently used diapers for a mom to pick up this week at the Baby Bongos mini-shop. Also, one mom is visiting the mini-shop
on Monday to rent prefolds and fitteds. It was a fun class with my high energy 5 year old visiting and Carrie's cute daughter playing with the diapers and stuffed animals.
2 families "called in sick"......so our December class is filling up quickly : ) The holidays are here!

Saturday,October 8th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
What a wonderful Saturday..........8o degrees! Denise and son Patrick revisted class and shared updates about favorite brands, styles and velcro. Bum Genius velcro
does wear quickly. The Bamboozle's new velcro washes well and does not pill the diapers : ). And now, after borrowing prefolds, Denise is quite a prefold fan. Lucky
Denise......she was the $25.oo gift certificate recipient just for being in class. It's a sporadic perk and she surely earned it by volunteering her cloth diaper experiences
on such a glorious Fall day!

Saturday,September 13th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
A class from the past..........Carolyn and her new baby girl Catherine revisited class for some more cloth diapering ideas; Kim and little man Carter shared their expertise
on rash cream and all-in-one BumGenius Elemental diapers and more : ) Thank you, Kim! Stephanie came back to class and shared her Craig's List cloth diaper stash
withus and is getting them spruced up with new aplix or snaps via Baby Bongos seamstress, Pam. Jasmine, from the "deep south" of WNY, drove all this way to
Williamsville to have a great time seeing and touching all of the cloth diaper styles. So many to choose from, but now she has a hands on idea to help her decide.
Great to have a south towns mom join the fun : )

Saturday,August 13th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
What a mix up on my part! I cancelled this class due to the registered families canceling because the each closed on their new home this week, Congrats! But I somehow
recorded2 other families as attending in Sept instead of Aug! Angela Hawk called me......THANK YOU! .........and I was on my way to a room full of great moms and 2 cute toddlers.
A grandmother, her daughter and daughter in law, and 3 more moms attended. Angela was there, too : ) The class is still deciding on which styles to try.......so the rental
idea is out there so they can play with some different kinds before they invest. So much cloth, so little time

Tuesday, July 19th @ 6pm / special class location for South Town families!
Under-whelming the overwhelmed when it comes to the cloth diaper market and its products is key. Guest mom Sherri helped our South town classbecome expert cloth diaper gurus : ) As a result, more babies are in cloth diapers this week! Helping each other is so simple. That's how we drum up cloth diaper awareness in WNY!

Saturday, July 9th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
As a result of this class, the facebook group was created. Thank you to Shannon for bringing her prototype diaper to class.
Baby Bongos Diaper Artists
This new facebook group is for mom's who want to make their own cloth diapers or mama cloths. You can save even more money by making your own. Most mamas
purchase some and make some. The facebook group shares website to purchase material and other advice. Enjoy if you are a sewer or want to start!

Saturday, June 11th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
Today was all about prefolds.  The simplicity, low cost and carrying on the great tradition of prefolds keep them in the know.  Also,  making them on your own is a fun and
exciting draw!
Angela Hawk of  Angela Hawk Photography joined us after her yoga class to talk about her love of prefolds and how they play a role in her elimination
communication process with her
little ones. Mom Carolyn said she will let us know if she makes some great prefolds and may post pics on Baby Bongos facebook for us, too!

Saturday, May 16th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
Four families on a rainy Saturday and a bunch of cloth diapers...the perfect thing to do!  We had great laundry discussions.....kinds of washers, should we try Charlie's soap?  How many
rinses?  Sherri and Kim were back to share their experiences and give great advice.....buy different styles of diapers when you start and your water type effects the laundry detergent you
choose and Rockin Green has real berries in some of the scents so don't use it if you child has a berry allergy!  Thank you for a great afternoon...out of the rain : )  It was a playdate for
Carter, Jayden and a 4 year old boy whose name escapes me.  Jen, if you read this....email me his name : ) Thank you!

Saturday, April 9th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
What a great evening with 4 couples in attendance, all interested in starting to cloth diaper for the first time.  2 families with their first baby and 2 families with their second baby.  One brave couple attended even thought they were due in 7 days!  The main focus of this class was, well, everything!  Choose a style of diapers or buy/rent all styles to find your favorite?...That was the question!  I was honored to change a baby girl's diaper into a prefold, which was quite the "change" for me because I have boys, only!

Friday, March 25th, 2011, 6:00-7:30pm
Here we were, on a Friday night....having fun with cloth diapers.  Is that possble?  It was, with this group of families!  A pair of sisters learning about cloth diapering with their husbands, a group of Mom's interested in Yoga, and some bad GPS directions on how to get to Rising Sun Yoga kept the evening fun and informative.

Saturday, March 12th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
....And this was a small class compared to last month!  Our guest mom, Kim,  and her handsome little baby Carter welcomed another mom named Kim into the cloth diapering world.  Dyan met with Lois about making baby cloths.  Ti stayed with us after teaching her prenatal class in the neighboring room.  It was a fun session teaching Kim about cloth and talking about arrangements for the Great Cloth Diaper Change event in April.  Each class is very unique and tailored to the mom's and dad's needs and interests.

April's class in already filling up with some families that could not make it, today.  Email mj@babybongos.com to register for April : )

Saturday, February 12th, 2011, 2:30-3:30pm
This was the largest class to date...8 families! (9 famileis registered and one postponed for next month!)  Thank you to our guest family, Catherine & Todd and their baby, Aidan.  The conversations were many and varied as we learned about the basic cloth diapering styles and accessories.  Also, we welcomed Dyan as a mom starting her own baby organic clothing business.  Watch our local links site for her new website.

Saturday, November 20th, 2:30-3:30pm
Guest Mom, Andrea (of Diaper Parties) enriched our class today with her cloth diapering expertise and experiences.  The main topic today was.......how overwhelming cloth diapering can be to someone with no prior experience.  There are many styles and brands to choose from.  One of the best ways to learn more about each style of diaper is to read the parent reviews.   You can read parent reviews at Thanksmama.com as you browse or shop.  Also, join Baby Bongos' facebook page to read the reviews under the "DISCUSSIONS' tab or to asks moms and dads in our community cloth diaper questions by  posting on the wall.  Area moms suggest trying at least 3 different styles to begin your cloth journey.  Good luck and happy diapering!

•Saturday, October 16th, 2010, 2:30am-3:30pm
We talked about hybrid diapers and the pros and cons.  Cloth diaper enthusiast, Sherri joined the class with her little boy bundle of joy, Jayden.  She is an amazing cloth diapering resource for any area Mom or Dad with questions about styles and laundering.  Thank you, Sherri!  You can contact Sherri or find a resource manger in your community.

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010, 5:00-5:55pm
What a great Mom discussion group with their babies in attendance and one pregnant mom.   Some of their discussions included prefold diapers (theeeee most frugal way to cloth diaper!); the end for diaper pins; using paper diapers while traveling; saving money; laundering with or with out vinegar; using the dryer or hand drying; diaper rashes; and more.  Thank you for making Rising Sun's first ever cloth diaper class a great and fun success.  We even had a grandmother-to-be share her cloth diapering know-how with us.  That was wonderful!  Thank you, ladies.

PAST CLASSES AT THE CARE CONNECTION:

•Saturday, January 29th, 2011, 11am-noon
Lots of talk about what style to choose for cost and laundering reasons.  The winner went to fitted with snaps!

•Saturday, October 16th, 2010, 11am-noon
What a great sunny day to be atop the Care Connection store.  A  fuzzi cloth diaper thank you goes to Sherri and her infant son for attending as a volunteer resource.  Her cloth experience spans the styles and sizes.  Her input is indispensable.   We learned a lot and the Mom's shared their research and questions.  Don't forget to use  your discount codes when shopping at Baby Bongos shopping link, ladies!

•Saturday, August 7th, 2010, 11am-noon
There was interest in finding a cloth diaper that doesn't leak onto baby's clothes.  Baby Bongos finds that pocket and AIO's have a tendancy to lead the moisture to the edges of the diaper, soaking the clothes.  We suggest a fitted diaper and a ProWrap cover to solve this problem.

One more group of  WNY families have shared their knowledge, questions and concerns while learning more about today's cloth diapering products and how to use, purchase and launder them.  Some main topics that the Moms and Dads inquired about were laundering, alternative potty training methods (infant training), how to change a soiled diaper, feeding baby organic foods, diaper services and about saving money.  Baby Bongos thanks you for a wonderful afternoon at the Care Connection!
