                    Cost: $12.00, $16.oo at door

Description:  There is much to read about and surf the web for, regarding alternative vaccination schedules and vaccination choices.  The mandates vary from state to state, as well.  There are times to vaccinate and times when you may want to wait.  The ultimate decision is between you and your child's pediatric doctor.

Attending this discussion, one of many offered in a year long series with various doctors and various opinions, can continue your journey of parent-based research and inquiries regarding how and when to vaccinate your child or even asking if you want to vaccinate your child.  And if you choose an alternative path, what can you do to build your child's immune system and health?

Learning to support your child's immune system, whether vaccinated or not is a very important life long skill.  Building a strong immune system early on helps the child to maintain his/her health through  childhood, adulthood and into their later years.  What we do for our children in the spring of their lives also effects them  in the winter of their lives........same with us!  There is no better time that the present to recognize how we treat our immune systems, a gift to keep us healthy, happy and strong!

Each of the States in the US have different exemption laws, and each country on Earth has different suggested and/or mandatory vaccination schedules.  How do we know who is right?  How do we know the healthiest choices when so many schools of thought exist?  Choosing a pediatrician that you trust is the first step to educating yourself and your family.

Join our 2012 discussion journey as we take the time to offer sessions guided by health and wellness supporters in WNY.  You may jump in at any time.  The series repeats itself in the new year.

Description:   Join Live Food enthusiast and member of the Buffalo Live Food Community, Aaron Fried,  for an afternoon for healthy and fun eats for your toddler.........not to mention for you, too!

Not only is Aaron a Live Food advocate, but he is also a Mathematician.  You can meet him in a video on his webstite, http://www.mathcompassion.com/.

As we raise our children, we need to find healthy snacks and meals to support their growing bodies and immune systems.  Many processed, mass produces and commercial foods not only lack in true nutrition, but also carry pesticides and other unhealthy ingredients that contribute to acute or chronic childhood or adult diseases.

As we explore Raw Foods, also called Live Foods, with our children, we set the stage for life-long healthy eating.  To learn young is to learn forever!  Also, as we learn how to feed our children, we learn how to feed ourselves.  Parenthood is a dynamic journey for us as well as our children.

Aaron makes 3 Raw Food recipes in this class, fit for ages 1 and up.  If your child is under one, you may feed your child the Raw Food at your discretion and save the recipe for a few months later!
You will leave this class with a handful of Raw Food Recipes.......3 are from the class and the others are for you to try at home.   They will vary in age recommendations....we are working on that as you read this.

The "Live Food" link above is a great resource to explore.  Enjoy and see you class!
